Participate in interactive case and article discussions! You do not have to, but why not bringing your own dog and cat cases? Share them with the group, discuss relevant articles, determine diagnostic steps, and make treatment decisions! The educational experience in dentistry and oral surgery is enhanced by participation in clinical rounds and journal clubs. A mixture of case-/topic-based learning, interactive discussion, and article review provide opportunities for direct communication with the teacher. The topics discussed during the 2.5-hour VDOS online event belong to the discipline of locoregional analgesia and include relevant anatomy (in dogs and cats), local anesthetics (doses and volumes), instrumentation (syringes, needles), nerve blocks (maxillary, infraorbital, major palatine, inferior alveolar, middle mental; intraoral vs. extraoral), and infiltration analgesia/splash block (wound irrigation). The event begins October 10 at 9AM ET (Philadelphia) and discusses the same topics as in the event the day before. Please ensure that you know when the event begins in your time zone.
