Attendees will get a very good appreciation of veterinary dentistry and how it applies to their respective practice. As dentistry is the most profitable aspect of a small animal practice, it is imperative that practice owners and associates utilize sound dental principles to grow their practice. This growth can exceed 10% of gross revenues if everyone is on board to promote dental services.
Day 1:
The first day is dedicated to lectures regarding veterinary dentistry and how your practice can immediately benefit from knowing these basic principles. One must know normal anatomy before one can tackle any dental pathology. Once normal anatomy is reviewed, topics of periodontology, radiology and extraction techniques are reviewed. The final lecture of the day is marketing your dental practice and how to increase profits.
Day 2:
Interactive lab that gives the attendee an introduction to equipmentology, the proper prophylaxis, radiography, extractions/flaps, sharpening of hand instruments, and regional nerve blocks.
