Discipline(s): Restorative/Prosthodontics
Tuesday August 18, 6:00 PM – 7:20 PM EDT (Philadelphia) You are ready to start doing fillings but don’t quite know yet how to prepare a dental defect? Maybe taking it a step farther and place metal crowns on teeth of working dogs? Let’s look into it, together! This webinar discusses defect preparation and restoration for fractured and carious teeth. Sealing of exposed dentin in the case of tooth wear, uncomplicated fracture, and enamel hypoplasia is explained. Restorative materials such as composites, glass ionomers, and compomers are introduced. The preparation of teeth for placement of full or partial metal crowns (prosthodontics) is reviewed, including bite registration and dental impressions. The didactic lecture will last 1 hour, but the webinar is designed so that there is extra time for interactive participation and answering your questions.
