This 2-day course has 4 hours of lecture and 4 hours of laboratory each day. It is designed to give veterinarians increased exposure to fundamental core pathology and step-by-step extraction and complication of extraction management. It is extension of fundamental skills learned in the fundamental course or equivalent. The majority of the course is a hands on laboratory supplemented with didactic teaching of step-by-step clinical photographs and radiographs. The course will begin with step-by-step presentation of mucoperiosteal flap creation, surgical extractions of individual teeth, regional analgesia, and management of extraction complications.
